...well sort of new. I actually discovered I'd never uploaded this piece even though it has been finished for about a month. My apologizes for being a slowpoke!
Queen of the Night was originally composed by me in high school for an AP theory course. The original used a poem from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings which I had sung by two female vocalists (myself and a good friend). Unfortunately my mic setup just isn't there yet for really solid vocal track layering so I decided to replace the top vocal parts with synths. In some ways I think this adds to the ethereal quality that I was trying to create. And this way my Tolkien experts out there won't be able to poke fun at my atrocious accent in Quenya. Hopefully as you listen you will hear a few of the Lothlorian tones that I intended.
Queen of the Night was originally composed in Music Write. It was re-imagined in Finale 08.
Final mix was created in FL Studio 10 using:
Harmor, Albion II Loegria, Albion III Iceni, and Chinee Gu Zheng Classic.
